VACAVILLE ART GALLERY
History Complements Art at the Vacaville Art Gallery
If you’re looking for the best in original art from over 140 local and regional visual artists look no further than the Vacaville Art Gallery, located next to Andrews Park in Downtown Vacaville.
The gallery is home to the Vacaville Art League, a non-profit organization with members that range from painters to potters, photographers to print makers, and sculptors to surrealists.
Be sure to catch the exhibits which change frequently. Opening receptions are open to the public and happen with each new exhibit. Like what you see? All original art is for sale in the gallery. Find fine art gift items, note cards and jewelry at the gallery gift shop.
Interestingly enough, the “Little Blue House on the Hill” that houses these great works of art almost saw its demise by wrecking ball. When the Vacaville Art League formed in 1963, there was no facility available to meet in or display artists’ work. After learning that the City of Vacaville had purchased the circa 1880’s Segura home on Monte Vista Avenue to demolish it, the board got the City to agree to let the League lease the building.
Volunteers and local businesses worked tirelessly to restore the beautiful Victorian to its former splendor and since the spring of 1968, the Vacaville Art Gallery has kept its doors opened to artists and the public.

The Vacaville Art Gallery’s visual art exhibits change monthly. For current exhibits, check the Calendar of Events section.
Other special shows of interest for visitors are:
- Annual Student Show in February – showcasing artists from Solano County’s middle and high school art departments.
- “Saturday in the Park” on September 30th – enjoy art in the park with picnic lunches, wine and over 60 artists.
The Vacaville Art Gallery is located at 718 E. Monte Vista Avenue and Open Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 12-4pm, Wednesday 12-7pm and Saturday 10am to 2pm. Free Admission. (Map it)
With the support of volunteers, art patrons and local businesses, the Vacaville Art League and Gallery continue to bring the fine arts to the community. For more information, call 707.448.8712.
