VACAVILLE PARKS: A GREAT PLACE FOR FAMILY FUN!

With over 24 parks in the city, you'll certainly find one that suits your needs. All parks are open ½ hour after sunrise and close ½ hour after sunset. Here are some of our most popular parks:

Al Patch Park

Vacaville’s newest 34-acre sports facility will open its first phase including three softball fields, a football/soccer field and an all-weather track, all of which can be lit entirely for night activities.

Andrews Park

Take a walk along the Vacaville CreekWalk with its tree-shaded, meandering walking paths and soothing waterfall. This 19-acre park located in Historic Downtown includes the Great Wonders playground, historical kiosks, outdoor art, BBQ pits and picnic tables.

Lagoon Valley

Within this 470-acre park, you'll find the Peña Adobe home, built in 1843, and a California State Historic Landmark. The park itself includes an 18-hole disc golf course, archery range, horseshoe pit, hiking and biking trails, BBQ pits, picnic tables and a 30,000 square feet fenced-in dog park. Lagoon Valley Lake is great for fishing and can accommodate small non-motorized boats.

Keating Park

This 20 acre park includes 7 baseball diamonds, 3 grandstands and multipurpose fields for youth Little League, T-ball, and adult softball.

Biking/hiking Trails

Vacaville has miles of paved, off-road biking/hiking trials in and around the city environs. Check out www.solanolinks.com for additional recommended rides for on- and off-road riding.

Sports Center of Excellence

The largest indoor soccer field in California is located right here in Vacaville! The 200-foot long soccer field and mini practice field offers every skill level the best soccer anywhere in the region. Fix your soccer kick with a drop in pick-up game.

Stars Recreation Center

This state-of-the-art recreation center features 40 lanes of bowling, Q-ZAR laser tag and a family arcade which are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The City Sports Bar & Grill, open 10 a.m.-2 p.m., is perfect for watching your favorite sporting event on one of 18 satellite TVs including a 13 foot HD widescreen. Play billiards, darts and shuffleboard; dance to live music every Friday and Saturday nights.

Vacaville Skating Center

Vacaville Skating Center features 2 NHL standard ice rinks and a gymnasium with concessions, full arcade and party rooms. The annual Festival of Trees is held here during the holidays. The Center is host to the CA Northstars Hockey Club, UC Davis Hockey Team, Vaca Valley Figure Skating Club and UC Davis Synchronized Skating Team. Green Tree Golf Course

The 18-hole Championship course at Green Tree has recently been re-routed with improved approaches, fairways and bunkers. A companion 9-hole Executive Course is ideal for beginners and those with limited time. The practice range, restaurant, tournament capability and pro shop make Green Tree a true full-service facility.

Travis Credit Union Park

Travis Credit Union Park is home to the Solano Thunderbirds, a summer collegiate wood-bat baseball team. In the off season, the Park plays host to a variety of concerts, private rentals, and events like the Home & Garden Show. Travis Credit Union Park is located at 1691 E. Monte Vista Avenue. Midway Paintball

Midway Paintball Xtreme is the Bay Area's premier paintball playing field. Open Fridays from 7-10:30 p.m. and two sessions on Saturdays & Sundays: 9 a.m. - noon and 1 p.m. -4p.m. Midway Paintball is located at 4901 Midway Road. For more information, contact 707.399.9400.

Walter V. Graham Aquatic Center

Vacaville's aquatic center has 100-foot waterslides, swimming pools, diving boards and a children's interactive play pool. The center is home to the Vacaville Swim Club which competes here year-round. The center remains open to the public weekends through 9/26. The Aquatic Center is located at 1100 Alamo Drive.
