Nothing says summer like the instantaneous roar of the crowd at the crack of a bat as it makes contact with a baseball! For that all-American pastime experience, make your way over to Travis Credit Union Park, home of the audacious and tenacious Solano Thunderbirds! 

The Solano Thunderbirds are a summer collegiate wood bat baseball team whose stellar 2005 winning season of 41 wins and 9 losses clinched them the 1st place title in the McCullough Division of the Horizon Air Summer Series (HASS). Considered the “league of leagues”, HASS unites teams with some of the best college baseball players from the West Coast. These up-and-coming players of tomorrow provide great entertainment for baseball fans today.

The Solano Thunderbirds are made up of 20 players who are hand-selected for the opportunity and privilege to practice and play against rival teams like the Sacramento Scorch, Novato Knicks, and the Yuba-Sutter Gold Sox. The team is coached by Phil Swimley, past head coach for UC Davis for 37 years and a recent inductee into the National Coaches Hall of Fame.

In the past four years alone, 19 players for the Solano Thunderbirds have been drafted by major league teams.

At a Thunderbirds game, baseball is not just a spectator sport! Don’t miss out in the fun and excitement of the “between innings” games that take place on the field and in the stands. Join the boisterous crowd as they cheer fellow fans in the Great Shoe Race and the Burrito Toss!

The stadium seats 3000 including box seats.Season tickets are also available. Travis Credit Union Park is located at 50 Nut Tree Road. The stadium also plays host to a variety of concerts, private rentals and events like the annual Home & Garden Show.
